The Extent of Crisis Management Practice by Public School Principals in Lahj Governorate from the Teachers' Point of View

Abstract

The aim of the current research is to identify the extent of practicing crisis management among public school principals in Lahej Governorate from the teachers' point of view, and to reveal the statistically significant differences between the average responses according to the variable of (gender). The researcher used the descriptive survey method, and the study community consisted of the total number of teachers in three selected directorates, (Al-Hawtah, Tuban, and Habil Jabr) numbering (4006), male and female teachers. A random cluster sample was taken numbering (430), male and female teachers; equivalent to (11%), of the original research community. The researcher used a questionnaire to collect data, which was designed from (25) items in its final form. The research also used the SPSS program to process statistical data. The research concluded that the practice of crisis management in the three stages of the crisis among public education principals from the teachers' point of view was at an average level; the arithmetic mean was (3.34), and the relative weight was (67%), with a standard deviation of (0.620). There were also no statistically significant differences between the members of the research community regarding the assessment of crisis management in its areas of planning, organization, follow-up, decision-making, and communication in the three stages of the crisis, attributed to the variable of gender.
