High Dowries as a Social phenomenon: A Philosophical Study of Its Impact on the Reluctance of Young People to Get Married

Abstract

The aim this research is to find out the reasons for the reluctance of young people to marry, by answering and Members of the research sample on the study axes, and the research community may by (37) young people, aged (40) years or more, in the village of Al-Mahalla, Tabban, District, Lahj Governorate for the year 2024 AD. Analytics, as a field questionnaire was designed according to the five-pointed Likert scale, and it may be of ten paragraphs distributed over three axes, which are the axis of economic causes, the axis of material causes, and the axis: social causes. Statistical SPSS and GenStat 5 where the repetitons, percentages, arithmetic averages, standard deviations, and the relative weight test and weight of the five-leukert scale were calculated compared to the averge. The arithmetic, and the results of the search showed that the first and second axes were very high, that strongly agreed that economic and material reasons are more effective on the reluctance of young people to marry, while the third axis was average, meaning that they are neutral on social reasons. With regard to each axis separately, the arithmetic mean of the second axis was very high, followed by arithmetic mean of the first and then third axis, as well as appeared and statistical significant differences after the procedures are carried out on the research sample, and in light the results of the research, it recommends conducting more studies on this phenomenon, as well as conducting studies looking at solutions to reduce the spread of this phenomenon.
