The impact of the training strategy on improving performance efficiency in the Yemeni Oil Company (Case study of the Yemeni Oil Company- Aden)

Abstract

The aim of this research is to identify the impact of the training strategy in improving performance efficiency in the Yemeni Oil Company- Aden. The researcher used both descriptive and the analytical methodologies. The research population consisted of the senior and middle management leaders at the company, totaling 125 individuals. A comprehensive sampling method was used to select the sample, consisting of (125) leaders, with a percentage of 100% of the population. The sample consists of those who hold the following administrative positions: a company director, a deputy director, an administration manager, a center manager and a head of section. The researcher used a questionnaire as the primary data collection tool. The research found that the overall arithmetic mean of the respondents’ answers regarding the availability of the training strategy dimensions was (3.96), indicating that the respondents’ collective degree of perception about the availability of the training strategy dimensions is "highly available''. The overall arithmetic mean of the respondents’ answers regarding the availability of performance efficiency items was (3.86), indicating that the respondents’ collective degree of perception about the availability of performance efficiency items is "highly available". The researcher reached the following recommendations: The management of the Aden Oil Company should work to diversify training programs based on essential needs and the necessity of providing feedback and information about the trainees' level of performance in order to reveal areas of weakness and strength in performance and help them change their behavior to match the needs of customers to continue training, especially for the technical staff, who affect clearly in the quality of oil services. The management of the Aden Oil Company should pay attention to identifying training needs in a scientific manner, by relying on scientific methods to help determine these needs, which form the planning base for the training process.
