Difficulties of the Curriculum and School-Book in the Governmental Elementary Schools in Abyan Governorate, Ja'ar Town from the Teachers' Points of View

Abstract

This study aimed at identifying the difficulties of the curriculum and school–book in the Republic of Yemen schools, Abyan Governorate, Ja'ar town according to teachers' point of view. The sample of the study consisted of 35 males and 120 females. ، The researchers used the descriptive - analytical approach، and prepared a questionnaire consists of (19) items for the main axis of the difficulties of the curriculum and school–book to know the difficulties level and the independent variables impact (gender، designation status، degree of qualification، years of experience، number of training courses and age.) After verifying the validity of the tool items through submitting it to a group of referees consisted of (12) from Aden and Abyan universities so as to get the final shape of the questionnaire which became (15) items, it was applied on nine schools at Ja'ar، Abyan Governorate. The study has researched the following results:

  • The evaluation level of curriculum and school–book from the teachers' points of view in the governmental elementary schools is between high، medium، The general medium of curriculum and school-book axis is medium.
  • There are no differences of statistical function at (α0.05) in the averages of the curriculum and school-book in favour of sex variable.
  • There are no differences of statistical function at (α=0.05) in favour of qualification variable (official،)
  • There are differences of statistically significant difference in the averages of difficulties of the curriculum and school – book regarding to the qualification variable: secondary school، diploma، bachelor. They were in favour of bachelor degree and diploma degree.
  • There are no differences of statistical function in the averages of the difficulties of the curriculum and school–book among individual groups of the sample regarding years of experience.
  • There are no differences of statistical function in averages among the individual groups of the sample regarding to training shops difference.
  • There are no differences of statistical function in the averages of the difficulties of the curriculum and school–book among the individual groups of the sample regarding to age variable.
